Cameron C. Young is a Graduate Coach and elite physician-scientist who operates at the cutting-edge intersection of medicine, machine learning, and translational research. Cameron earned his B.S. in Chemical Engineering and Biochemistry from Northeastern University with a 3.95 GPA before receiving the prestigious Churchill Scholarship to pursue his MPhil in Medical Sciences at the University of Cambridge. He is currently an MD candidate at Harvard Medical School, focusing on pediatric anesthesiology, critical care, and clinical AI.
Cameron’s research career spans some of the most influential medical laboratories and health technology initiatives in the country. As a Healthcare Innovation Researcher at Mass General Brigham (MESH), he builds and evaluates large language model (LLM) clinical decision support tools for rare disease diagnosis and healthcare bias assessment—authoring open-source clinical platforms and publishing groundbreaking studies in PAIN and the American Journal of Medical Genetics. Previously, at Boston Children’s Hospital, he managed a $1.5M CDC-funded COVID-19 and MIS-C registry across 70+ hospitals, directly informing CDC and WHO guidelines and co-authoring landmark studies in the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM), JAMA, and Nature. A prolific scholar with over 45 published papers and 3,800+ citations, Cameron also serves as one of only two student representatives on the Committee on Publications for the NEJM Group and Executive Editor of the Harvard Medical School Review.
Beyond his clinical and academic research, Cameron is a proven healthtech entrepreneur (Co-Founder of Ecotera Health, backed by Harvard Innovation Labs) and a passionate mentor. He has dedicated hundreds of hours to advising first-generation, URM, pre-med, and undergraduate students through application strategy and research placement.
