Elizabeth Hecker is a Former Admissions Officer at InGenius Prep. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of California, Irvine, a College Counseling certificate from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a Master’s degree in Social Emotional Learning from National University.
Her admissions work spans both the undergraduate and graduate level: alongside her ongoing role reading and interviewing for Duke’s undergraduate applicant pool, she has also served on the admissions team for Duke’s Master of Engineering Management program. Outside of admissions committee work, she has built a broad counseling practice across tutoring, academic advising, and college counseling, helping students navigate every stage of the undergraduate and graduate application process.
Reading files on the other side of the desk shapes how Elizabeth advises her own students: she knows firsthand what stands out in a competitive applicant pool, and she uses that perspective to help students find programs where they’ll genuinely thrive. As a Former Admissions Officer, she stays closely involved through each milestone of the process, from building a college list to celebrating acceptance letters with her students.
