About Farah

Farah Weheba is a Graduate Coach with InGenius Prep whose approach to college admissions is guided by the same design thinking framework she studied at Stanford: start with the student, uncover what genuinely makes them distinctive, and build from there. With over two and a half years of college admissions counseling experience — as a program manager at Collegevine and a direct counselor through Empowerly — she has helped students identify creative, non-traditional pathways and build profiles that feel genuinely personal rather than formulaic.

Farah’s professional background in education is wide-ranging and genuinely international. She taught K-8 STEM at AltSchool San Francisco, a personalized learning lab school funded by Meta, before teaching first grade English language arts to multilingual learners at the Metropolitan American School in Cairo, where she built AI-powered lesson plan tools using PlayLab AI to adapt curriculum in real time. She has written supplemental curriculum for the Pinna Children’s Streaming Podcast, adapted K-5 science classroom content into video format for pandemic distance learning with Great Minds, and collaborated with a 30-year Sesame Street writer at Big Bad Boo Productions on companion lesson plans for refugee audiences. Her most distinctive early project was founding Beity Co., a trauma management and mental health tool for refugee children, developed in collaboration with the Stanford Psychiatry Pediatric Anxiety Lab and field-tested with psychiatrists in Turkey — a project that reflects the depth of design thinking and human-centered research that defines her entire body of work.

As Research Lead of the Design Insight Group at Blue Ridge Labs — a social impact venture accelerator backed by the Robin Hood Foundation — Farah facilitated 1,600 paid user research sessions in a single year, grew the research community by 150% to 5,000 members, and built partnerships with the Gates Foundation, NYCHA, the Doe Fund, and civic organizations across New York City. She taught design thinking and user research methodology to two cohorts of entrepreneurs designing solutions to systemic poverty, and she is a certified PlayLab AI Learning Engineer who has practiced AI-assisted curriculum design in live classroom settings — giving her a current, firsthand perspective on how AI is reshaping what ambitious student profiles can look like.

As a Graduate Coach, Farah’s distinctive strength is helping students who sit at the intersection of multiple interests find the through-line that connects them. Where a student sees scattered curiosities, she sees a coherent intellectual identity waiting to be articulated. She specializes in working with students who want to do something genuinely original with their application — and who leave the process having developed real skills, real projects, and a real sense of direction, not just a polished essay.
