Ijaaz Jackaria is a Graduate Coach with InGenius Prep, originally from Mauritius. He earned a BA in Philosophy, with minors in Physics and Near Eastern Languages and Civilization, from the University of Chicago, and an MSc in Comparative Education and International Development from the University of Edinburgh, completing both degrees on full scholarships, including the State of Mauritius Postgraduate Scholarship.
Over eight years in education consulting, Ijaaz has mentored hundreds of students through their US and UK college applications, building strategic university lists, reviewing essays, and crafting compelling narratives. As Business Head of Global Admissions at UniHawk Global, he led a mentorship program across eight offices in five GCC countries, and previously led a counseling team of ten at Hale Education Group in Dubai.
As an academic scholar himself, Ijaaz has conducted research in education, co-authored a journal article, and presented at international conferences. This research background, paired with his counseling experience, allows him to guide students in building a strategic, well-supported application narrative.
