Joanna Walters is a Graduate Coach at InGenius Prep. She graduated from Harvard University in 2025 with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a citation in Spanish, and now works as a Junior Technology Strategist at a global communications firm, focusing on digital strategy and technology.
Joanna has tutored, mentored, and guided students through the college application process, drawing on her own experience as a first-generation college student who navigated admissions without a dedicated high school college counselor. That firsthand experience shapes how she works with students: getting to know them beyond their grades and extracurriculars so applications genuinely reflect who they are.
As a Graduate Coach, Joanna encourages students to aim high while approaching admissions with intention and strategy, and she works to create a supportive, collaborative environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence in their own abilities.
