Hello! I am a Former Admissions Officer with InGenius Prep, based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a minor in English from Truman State University. After graduation I earned my Master of Education with a concentration in College Student Personnel at Ohio University. While pursuing my master’s degree I worked as a Graduate Assistant in Career Services where I counseled students on major and career planning, resume writing, mock interviewing, and graduate school preparation. I completed numerous practicum experiences in various aspects of campus life, including one in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions where I assisted with visit programs and reviewed applications. I have taught college transition/academic success courses, worked with orientation programs, and advised student organizations. I have over a decade of experience in higher education as an academic advisor, career counselor, and as a law school admissions counselor.
As an Assistant Director of Admissions at Notre Dame Law School, I was responsible for reviewing and making decisions on hundreds of applications each admissions cycle. One of my favorite aspects of that role was connecting with prospective students at various events throughout the country to answer questions about the application process. Whether working one-on-one or with a large group my goal is to always provide a positive experience and to leave students with tangible action steps.
After almost five years at Notre Dame Law School my husband’s job relocated us to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I currently work as a Senior Advisor in the Honors College at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. In my free time, I spend time with my husband and son. I love exploring our city, cooking and baking, taking barre classes, and watching and attending sporting events.
