Nate Roy is a Graduate Coach at InGenius Prep and a medical student at Weill Cornell, as well as a Team USA Bobsled brakeman. He earned his BS in Neurochemistry from Cornell University and an MSc in Neuroscience from McGill University. A former Division I football player, he first became interested in the brain through its role in athletic performance, then found a deeper passion during his research at Cornell, Harvard, and McGill: understanding the brain as a lever for improving performance across all of life.
He is the founder of Cortex Flex, a neuroscience-informed performance training company for adolescent athletes, and of CAPSuLe, a nonprofit that serves as an intermediary between scientists who study youth development and the parents, coaches, and educators who drive it. Now preparing for a career in adolescent psychiatry, his work centers on how to embed resilience amplifiers into the pursuits young people already love.
As a Graduate Coach, Nate brings this same lens to advising students on medical school admissions, treating the application process as a pursuit that rewards resilience, clarity, and self-understanding. He works with students to identify what is distinctive in their own path and to present it with the same precision he applies to his research and coaching work.
