Nathaniel Hayes is a Former Admissions Officer with a comprehensive background in elite institutional admissions, domestic and international college counseling, and student success initiatives. Nathaniel was raised in Chicago, Illinois, and completed his undergraduate studies at Washington and Lee, where he earned his BA in Philosophy. He later built upon this academic foundation by completing his Master’s in Public Service (MPS) through the Uark Clinton School of Public Service.
Nathaniel’s career in academic consulting and institutional admissions spans both domestic and international markets. He served directly as an Admissions Counselor at Washington and Lee, gaining vital internal insight into the selective selection processes of top-tier colleges. He expanded his global perspective by serving in college counseling roles at the American Farm School in Thessaloniki, Greece, before returning to the United States to guide high-achieving, underserved students with KIPP Delta Public Schools throughout the Arkansas Delta and with Thrive Scholars while based in the Boston area. Most recently, Nathaniel served as an Admissions Officer within Stanford Online High School, deepening his expertise in highly competitive, non-traditional secondary academic environments.
Outside of his formal institutional roles, Nathaniel is highly invested in community outreach and systemic empowerment. He faithfully serves on various community-level committees dedicated to advancing arts, learning, and healthcare initiatives. As a Former Admissions Officer, Nathaniel brings this deep intentionality, patience, and profound understanding to his coaching style, celebrating the unique individual passions of each student he works with. While an organic extrovert who loves cooking and hosting social gatherings to bring people together, he grounds his everyday life by reading, prioritizing personal growth-centered reflection, and walking in nature.
