Sultanya Hamid is a Graduate Coach at InGenius Prep. She earned her BA in Hispanic Literatures and Cultures, with a minor in Education Studies, from Wesleyan University, and has since pursued graduate coursework in education at the University of Pennsylvania. She has extensive experience working with high school students, supporting them from their freshman year through the application process.
Her academic background gives her a distinctive perspective on college essay writing. At Wesleyan she studied a wide range of Latin American literature, which strengthened her understanding of creative storytelling and the importance of developing a distinctive voice. As a teacher and college access advisor, she has guided students on applications, financial aid, and academic planning across independent and public schools.
As a Graduate Coach, Sultanya brings this perspective to her work with students, helping them identify and communicate the experiences, perspectives, and stories that make their applications uniquely their own. Her background in student support and mentorship allows her to build meaningful relationships and help students navigate the college process with confidence.
