Theodore Addo is a Graduate Coach with InGenius Prep, advising students on applications, essays, interviews, and how a candidacy holds together over time. He earned his MD from Brown and his BS in Biology, magna cum laude, from UMBC, where he was a Meyerhoff Scholar and HHMI Scholar.
His counseling draws on experience as a medical student, an instructor for BS/MD and pre-med students, and a program director for high schoolers exploring medicine. He has taught a live BS/MD and pre-med course that helps students write essays and interviews from the material already present in their own record. At Brown he directed HealthCORE and, as a student researcher, led a team that designed and tested a new low-cost OB/GYN training model now under review for publication.
His own path, from Meyerhoff and HHMI Scholar through research in neuroscience, developmental biology, and clinical simulation, to resident physician entering diagnostic radiology, gives him firsthand insight into building a cohesive candidacy from varied experience. As a Graduate Coach, he helps applicants write from the story already present in their record rather than a template.
