Tom Mackinnon is a Graduate Coach with InGenius Prep with a rich professional background in Medieval Languages and Art History. He earned his BA from the University of Cambridge and later completed his MA in Art History at the Warburg Institute, London. Now, Tom uses his professional insights and his experience in higher education to guide students through the college application process.
In his prior roles, Tom worked at the National Portrait Gallery and volunteered as an EPQ mentor for Art History Link-Up, guiding students through research, providing detailed feedback, and advising on university applications. His interdisciplinary expertise and insight into the admissions process give him the knowledge to guide students and coach them on the optimal path to acceptance at their dream school.
As a Graduate Coach, Tom takes a thoughtful, personalized approach to each student. He helps students craft strong, reflective applications by focusing on their unique strengths and aspirations. With his guidance and commitment to fostering academic growth in each of his mentees, Tom is prepared to give every student the best chance to excel in their chosen fields.
