Tyler Okeke is a Graduate Coach with InGenius Prep and a J.D. candidate at Columbia Law School in New York City, expected to graduate in May 2027. In 2023, he earned his B.A. in Political Science and M.A. in International Relations from the University of Chicago. His Master’s degree specialized in International Trade & Finance.
Before law school, Tyler gained professional experience at Chubb, a global insurance company, where he developed risk management programs for technology and life science companies across the Southeastern United States.
During his time at the University of Chicago, he broadened his experience through internships at the U.S. Trade & Development Agency, the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, and the University’s Institute of Politics. He also served as a research assistant and has written extensively about African political economy, with a focus on trade, economic development, energy, and climate change.
His written work has been published in The Gate, the Chicago Journal of Foreign Policy, and Hampton Think. He has advised applicants admitted to top programs. As a Graduate Coach, he draws upon his experience mentoring students and providing insights into the law school admissions process, gained from serving on panels for pre-law students.
