Youkun is a Former Admissions Officer based in California. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Haverford College and a Master of Science in Education from the University of Pennsylvania. After studying Spanish and linguistics at Haverford College, Youkun worked as a college counselor at a local Philadelphia high school, guiding a cohort of 45 students through the college admissions process.
During her time as an Assistant Dean of Admissions at the Swarthmore College, Youkun facilitated on-campus group visits, directed access-oriented communications, and co-managed the QuestBridge application process. In addition, she was the regional director for Asia and Latin America, and managed merit-based scholarships.
Most recently, Youkun pursued graduate studies in educational linguistics at the University of Pennsylvania, with a focus on intercultural communication. Her thesis explored the intersection of language, migration, and identity. She also contributed to a post-doctoral research project funded by the National Academy of Education as a research assistant.
With extensive experience in admissions and counseling, Youkun is passionate about helping students build compelling applications that tell their unique stories and bringing a sense of balance and calmness to the process.
