CeCe Belcher is a Former Admissions Officer with InGenius Prep based in Maryland, just outside Washington, DC. As a professional in Higher Education who’s served as an Admissions Officer at the top US schools, CeCe brings a wealth of insight and experience to her role in college counseling as an FAO. Originally from Westchester County, NY, CeCe graduated with a BS in Social Work from Temple University and an MS in Guidance and Counseling from the College of New Rochelle. Following her education, CeCe spent 12 years in admissions, including seven years at Berkeley College and five years at Sarah Lawrence College. CeCe’s roles in these institutions have given her deep insights into the admissions process and the criteria that schools value. Now, she uses that knowledge to guide her students and give them the best opportunities and odds at acceptance at their dream schools.
During her time at Sarah Lawrence College and Berkeley College, CeCe served as Senior Assistant Director of Admissions, handling all the phases of the student admission process and becoming intimately familiar with the procedures and values of top US schools. Her first three years as a college counselor were at a private school in New York before relocating to the DMV area in August 2021 as an Associate Director of College Counseling. Since then, she has also served as a College Counselor at a private high school, using her extensive knowledge to guide students through the college application process.
CeCe’s approach is marked by her ability to build trust with students and families through her confidence, respectfulness, and professionalism. She is known for her open communication, honesty, and flexibility, which families appreciate as they navigate the often stressful college admissions journey. CeCe is dedicated to helping students recognize their unique gifts, talents, and passions to find the right college fit. She believes in empowering students to reach their full potential and succeed in their academic and professional endeavors.
