Hello! I’m Chloe, and I am an Oxford and Harvard graduate based in the UK, and an InGenius Prep UK Graduate Coach.
I grew up in the North-East of England and studied English Language and Literature at New College, University of Oxford. During my undergraduate degree, I was New College’s Access and Outreach Officer, working alongside the college admissions office to widen access to elite higher education and improve the representation of disadvantaged and minority groups at Oxford. I also worked with a number of university outreach charities during this time, offering mentoring, target-setting, and admissions coaching to students from low socioeconomic and/or ethnic minority backgrounds. Many of these students went on to gain admission to Oxford, Cambridge, or other elite UK universities.
After Oxford, I worked in an inner-city school in Madrid, Spain teaching English as a foreign language. I also taught English to private clients, and my Spanish improved significantly. Simultaneously, I worked with an EdTech start-up and helped develop an online international youth leadership summit. We offered students research projects, keynote speakers and university admissions workshops.
I then moved to Cambridge, Massachusetts to study for a Masters degree in Education Policy at Harvard University as a fully funded Frank Knox Memorial Fellow. I specialised in international education policy and focused the rest of my studies on how to improve access to higher education in the UK. I am a firm believer in the potential of every student embarking on the university admissions journey. Informed by my own background and experiences, I hope to offer tailored guidance and support to my students so they can reach their goals.
