Hello, everyone! My name is Chloe Mercado and I am an educator in Southern California. I graduated with my Bachelor’s degree in History with a minor in Education and my Master’s Degree in Education from Stanford University. I have been working as a teacher ever since. I taught for four years in the Bay Area where I had the privilege of focusing on developing language abilities amongst English Learners while also supporting and mentoring students in Model United Nations, Speech and Debate, Mock Trial, and numerous other activities. I then returned home to Southern California where I have taught in both Orange and Los Angeles County. I have also privately tutored and worked as a college counselor for Southern California students supporting them as they plan their path to college from freshman year through the application process. I love all aspects of education but forming one-on-one mentoring relationships and getting to know students better has always been my favorite part!
In my spare time I love camping, hiking, taking my two dogs (Abby and Lady) on walks, and generally being outside. I also enjoy cooking and baking – Mexican and Indian cuisines are my favorite — reading, watching Youtube, and trying to learn new skills like knitting.
