Hello! I am Ebony Freeland Bryant, and I am currently serving as a diversity & inclusion professional for a legal association. Formerly, I served as the Director of Diversity Initiatives at Duke University School of Law. Prior to my work at Duke, I worked at the National Association for College Admission Counseling in Professional Development and at my alma mater, the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
My professional activities include the creation and direction of a 4-week residential pipeline program that ran for five years and exposed almost 120 underrepresented college students to the rigors and requirements of law school and a career in law. I have given presentations and training on implicit bias, privilege, and building community and have served on various committees in the legal education arena. I have worked with countless students over the course of a 20+ year career to achieve their goal of attending law school.
