Felix Cuma is a Former Admissions Officer with InGenius Prep. He is a passionate advocate for students’ academic journeys, driven by their own experience as a first-generation college graduate. His commitment lies in supporting students to discover and gain admission to the best-fit schools where they can thrive. He holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts in Chicana/o Studies and Dramatic Arts from the University of California, Davis.
Throughout his career, Felix has worked with hundreds of high school and college students from both coasts, dedicating themselves to guiding young people through every stage of their educational journey. This guidance encompasses exploring academic and extracurricular opportunities, navigating the application process for competitive universities, and ensuring students’ success upon arrival on campus. His experience as a former external application reader for UC San Diego provides them with insider knowledge of the admissions process and a keen understanding of what selective institutions seek in applicants.
A core component of his advising philosophy is staying current with trends and best practices in college access and admissions. He maintains active membership in professional organizations such as the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC), New York State Association for College Admission Counseling (NYSACAC), the College Access Consortium of New York (CACNY), and the National College Attainment Network (NCAN). Felix firmly believes in the transformative power of education and is committed to equipping every student with the necessary tools, guidance, and confidence to achieve their academic aspirations.
