George Maddison is a Graduate Coach with extensive academic, choral, and leadership experience. He is a recent music graduate from the University of Cambridge, where he served as an organ scholar. In this role, he accompanied and directed the College choir, provided one-on-one coaching, and organized European tours. He also held the presidency of the Emmanuel College Music Society, revitalizing student engagement and financial sustainability through orchestral programs and university-wide outreach.
George’s musical training began as a chorister at New College, where he performed at major venues. He later attended Magdalen College School, where he held numerous positions of responsibility. Additionally, he interned at the Digital Image Archive of Medieval Music, analyzing manuscripts.
These experiences have informed George’s ability to mentor students hoping to read music at Oxbridge or other Russell Group universities. As a Graduate Coach, he has particular insight into the expectations of instrumental, choral, and organ scholarship applications. Overall, he brings a comprehensive understanding of university-level syllabi, combined with tailored support in writing personal statements and essays.
