Helen Tian is a Graduate Coach with InGenius Prep based in Stanford, California. She has a background in psychology and data science. She received her BA from Stanford University where she majored in psychology and minored in data science. During her time at Stanford, Helen served as an academic writing tutor for the Structured Liberal Education (SLE) program and the Writing in Major (WIM) program on campus.
The summer before her junior year, Helen biked from San Francisco to Washington DC with five other Stanford students and led introductory social psychology workshops in K-12 education centers along the way through the Stanford Digital Education’s Stanford Spokes project! She’s passionate about mentoring students across ages, backgrounds, academic interests.
Helen has also worked as a research assistant in both Stanford’s SPARQ Lab and Starck Lab, where she’s contributed to a variety of social psychology projects exploring education inequity. As a Graduate Coach, she encourages and advises students exploring potential research opportunities.
