James F. Konopack, or Jim, is a Graduate Coach with InGenius Prep and has a background as an executive servant leader, award-winning educator, health science scholar, and mentor. He holds degrees in Kinesiology (PhD, University of Illinois), Counseling (EdM, Boston University), and Psychology (BA, Cornell University). He also completed a program at the Harvard University Institute for Management and Leadership in Education.
Since completing his PhD, Jim has worked in higher education for the past two decades in positions such as dean, department chair, professor, and academic advisor. He has mentored a number of undergraduate and graduate students across academic disciplines, specializing in the health sciences. Jim is also experienced working with students throughout the United States and in partnerships with universities in Asia and Europe.
His professional experience includes serving as Dean of the College of Health Professions and Human Services at Kean University, where he secured the largest private donation in university history. He was also the Inaugural Dean of the College of Health Sciences, Education and Rehabilitation at Salus University and an Associate Dean at New Jersey City University and Monmouth University. At Monmouth University, he founded a new department, recruited faculty, and taught 11 different subjects, receiving the university’s Distinguished Teacher of the Year Award.
