About James Wang

Hi, my name is James and I’m a Graduate Coach with InGenius Prep! I graduated from Dartmouth College in 2018, receiving a major in Computer Science and a minor in Anthropology. Following graduation, I began work in industry starting off my career as a software engineer at a virtual reality startup based in Palo Alto, CA.

Much like the code I push out, I have now understood that there is a formula to the interview process that achieves optimal results. After being on the other side of the interview process for multiple years, I can now effectively identify the professional traits that distinguish a prepared candidate. And the good news is, these traits can be easily picked up and built into a habit! I firmly believe that with the right mindset and a passion for getting things done, the role of a software engineer is a role that anyone can take on.

If you catch me on my downtime, you might discover that I’m a pretty down-to-earth guy who enjoys traveling, playing video games, and eating delicious food. I also enjoy running, weightlifting, and singing, but not all at the same time. Nice to meet you!
