Julia Fertel is a Graduate Coach with InGenius Prep based out of Columbia, South Carolina. Julia graduated with her Masters of Music from the University of South Carolina where she studied Opera Performance and served as a Graduate Student Assistant. In addition to her Master’s, Julia holds a BM from the University of Michigan in Vocal Performance, for which she was conferred university honors as well as other prestigious awards. She also holds a paralegal certificate from the University of South Carolina.
During her studies, Julia’s interdisciplinary interests helped her to develop strong writing and communication skills. She has always been passionate about teaching and mentoring students, especially in regards to the college application process. In addition to serving as a writing mentor during her graduate studies, Julia also guided students as they prepared to further their education at top ranked universities. After going through her own college applications in high school, Julia realized how competitive, time consuming, and nerve-racking the process can be – she focuses on helping to alleviate some of that college application anxiety.
Julia specializes in guiding students thorough the college application process, delivering thorough support and concrete feedback on app materials. She is particularly passionate about helping students outperform their admissions odds thorough intentional profile development and well-crafted applications.
