Hello! I am a Graduate Coach at InGenius Prep based in Raleigh, North Carolina. My love of science began early, and I was selected to attend the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics to complete my high school career. I received my Bachelor’s in Chemistry with a minor in Biology from Wake Forest University. I later earned a Master of Science in School Administration & Supervision at Johns Hopkins University. I began my career teaching and advising students at several independent high schools. My most recent work has been planning and overseeing domestic and international programs for gifted students at Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth and Duke Talent Identification Program.
I love helping students and families identify pathways to showcase their students’ unique talents. As an advisor and mentor, I get to know the students and identify their passions and goals. Together we form a plan to explore those interests, narrow their focus, and help them bring their authentic selves to their college application journey.
Outside of work, I enjoy quilting, going for walks, and creating meals with friends. I am fortunate to live in an area with easy access to the mountains and the beach; I travel to both places regularly to soak up the natural splendor and visit new restaurants. We hope to add a puppy to our family soon.
