Hi! I am a Former Admissions Officer with InGenius Prep, based in Geneva, New York. I received my undergraduate degree from Emory University where I majored in Philosophy. I worked in the admissions office for my alma mater, reading thousands of undergraduate applications, conducting interviews, and working with students and their families. I received a MA in International Relations and PhD in Political Science from Tulane University.
Besides teaching political science in American universities, I have taught economics and business administration courses such as Leadership and Career Management, while living and working in China. While in China, I wrote and published two books aimed at Chinese students: Self-Marketing for Career Success and Study in the USA and Job Search. In both books, I emphasize the holistic development of student in their educational development. Finally, I have taught English as a Second Language to students of all ages from a dozen different countries.
In all my roles as a teacher, I am known for my ability to encourage students to dream big and to coach them how to turn dreams into reality by setting realistic and specific measurable goals. I like to help students create and complete a step-by step strategy that enables them to transform their vision into reality. The college application process is a critical juncture in one’s lifelong career journey that opens new vistas and opportunities.
