I am a PhD student in Literacy Education at New York University. Having received my BA from Duke University, MA from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and a second Masters degree from Columbia University, the entire admissions process has become second nature to me.
Prior to my doctoral studies, I was an English teacher for six years in Hong Kong where I won six different teaching awards, including the national Chief Executive’s Award for Teaching Excellence. As such, teaching is a deep passion of mine as I personally commit to the success of every one of my students.
In my spare time, I love going on hikes with my wife and dog, traveling to foreign countries to meet people from diverse cultures, and experimenting with new dishes in my kitchen at home.
