Hi there! I am Kiki Geng, the Bilingual Counselor at InGenius Prep. I am from the Beijing Office. I graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and received a master’s degree in Education from Boston University. Within the nine years I lived in Irvine and Boston, I gradually formed a deeper understanding of both the differences and similarities between Chinese and Western education system and culture, and I believe more in and understand how to teach students by exploring their passion and strengths.
In the past five years, I have helped nearly a hundred students admitted to the Top 30 US colleges. Among the students, there are STEM students who are passionate about neuroscience and successfully advanced into ISEF. There are students who are into psychology and did lots of community service to help kids with autism or other neurodivergent diseases. There are also born entrepreneurs whom I helped to start their own non-profit organizations. I like to meet students with different interests and explore new extracurricular activities ideas with them. I often learn a lot of new knowledge and ideas from students. After the application season, I have maintained a good friendship with my students and parents.
I have three poodles, and one of them traveled all the way from the US to China with me. When I have free time, I like taking them to picnics. Another hobby of mine is to rewatch a good movie over and over. My record is to watch one single movie 9 times in a year.
