Hello! I’m a Graduate Coach with InGenius Prep and a former dual-business owner with over twenty years editing experience, based in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
I grew up in New Jersey and received my undergraduate degree at Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration. After graduation, I worked in sales and marketing capacities in the hospitality industry before starting my career in public relations and marketing. I continued to stay connected with my alma mater by guest lecturing, and I was also appointed as an Entrepreneur in Residence (EnIR) at Cornell’s Pillsbury Institute for Hospitality Entrepreneurship where I advised undergraduate and graduate students.
During my time running an NYC-based PR agency, I developed innovative programming to elevate brand messaging and continuously top-edited essays, articles, and marketing materials. This experience taught me how to deliver differentiated instruction and provide strategic planning based on students’ needs, interests, and skill sets. As a recent MFA graduate, I understand the expectations of competitive schools and what admissions committees seek. With my current experience as an author, I also know what good storytelling is and how to help students write stories that will set them apart.
I value curiosity and see every step of the admissions process as a learning opportunity. I am here to help students develop a substantial skills-based toolkit to build the writing muscles that will establish a strong foundation for a diverse range of admissions essays. My intention is to bring the same passion and focus I had when developing two successful companies into counseling students on the next phase of their academic journey. I am thrilled to be a part of the InGenius Prep team, and I look forward to working with you!
