I am a joint PhD candidate in History of Art/Film and Media Studies at Yale, where I specialize in modern art and postcolonial theory. I received my BA in Art History from Williams College, where I was a Mellon Mays/Allison Davis Undergraduate Research Fellow. Before Yale, I spent a year as a research fellow at Humboldt University Berlin.
In addition to my academic experience, I have worked in museums across New York City, including the Museum of Modern Art and the Studio Museum in Harlem. I have taught classes on topics ranging from television and crime to ancient Greek art. As a teacher, I am passionate about helping my students to improve their writing and analytical skills. I find it most rewarding when my students discover new interests or deepen existing ones. When I am not reading and writing, I love building furniture and playing electronic music.
