Lucas Cocco Delgado is a Graduate Coach with InGenius Prep, based in Brooklyn, NY. Originally from Havana, Cuba, and São Paulo, Brazil, he earned his undergraduate degree from Harvard College as an international student, studying Human Developmental and Regenerative Biology with a secondary field in Latin American Politics. He also holds a Master’s in Education from Boston University, where he focused on curriculum and teaching. A former high school biology teacher and Teach For America Corps Member, Lucas brings both firsthand classroom experience and a deep understanding of the U.S. education system to his work with students.
Lucas’s passion for mentorship and college access began in high school, when he supported fellow students in applying to U.S. universities after earning admission himself. In college, he continued mentoring through international Model United Nations conferences across Latin America, identifying and guiding students with untapped potential. Later, as an educator, he remained committed to supporting those around him, eventually transitioning into strategy consulting at EY-Parthenon. There, he advised liberal arts colleges, school districts, EdTech companies, and investors on growth strategy and impact. Most recently, Lucas has worked in the education technology sector, leading corporate development and strategy efforts focused on innovation and equity.
As Graduate Coach and a first-generation international college graduate, Lucas knows how transformative education and thoughtful guidance can be. He brings that experience to his coaching, helping students from all backgrounds present their most authentic, compelling selves in the admissions process. His approach blends strategic insight with deep empathy, supporting ambitious students as they navigate their own path toward top universities and programs.
