Hello! I originally come from Ningbo, China. I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Master’s degree in Higher Education, and I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Applied Psychology and Human Development from Boston College. Before joining InGenius Prep, I previously worked at the Office of Career and Professional Development in the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education, while doing a research assistantship in English language arts.
Since I’ve been working in education for five years, I regard the theory of positive youth development as the theoretical cornerstone of my educational philosophy, and firmly believe that every student has distinctive strengths and potentials. As an educator, I excel at applying a growth mindset and diverse techniques to help students explore their passions. During my journey at the University of Pennsylvania, I was trained to be an academic and career advisor, learned the history of higher education, and practiced the details of administrative work in American higher education institutions. Coupled with years of experience in student academic support and application counseling, I have a solid skill-set in areas of higher education, international education, and college application counseling.
College counseling can be story-based, and in my opinion, every student’s profile reflects their family stories, cultural characteristics, and contemporary education issues. This ideology motivates me to actively listen to my students and provide tailored advice. In my free time, I enjoy photography, writing, and drawing. Look forward to working with you!
