Olivia Romano is a Graduate Coach with InGenius Prep and a PhD student in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh. She received her BS in Nutritional Sciences from The Pennsylvania State University, where she also completed a double minor in French and Global Health.
Olivia has diverse teaching and mentoring experience. In her undergraduate years, she was a peer educator, and after graduating, she spent a year teaching English in France. Currently, she is a graduate-level teaching assistant at the University of Pittsburgh, where she advises PharmD students on resume development and professional networking. She also serves as the PhD student representative for her department’s Graduate Program Council.
Before starting her PhD, Olivia worked as a clinical research associate at Massachusetts General Hospital’s cancer center. Her expertise and interest lie in health research, and she intends to pursue a career as a clinical pharmacologist in the pharmaceutical industry. Based on her experience successfully switching fields, she is well-equipped to guide others who wish to do the same.
