Paradorn (Joe) Rummaneethorn is a Graduate Coach with InGenius Prep based in Pennsylvania. Joe is a PhD candidate in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania. At UPenn, he works in a lab to develop new tools for enabling subcellular biology. Joe grew up in Bangkok, Thailand before moving to the US to pursue his undergraduate degree at Princeton University, where he graduated summa cum laude in Chemical and Biological Engineering with minors in Biology and Materials Science.
Beyond the lab and classroom, Joe is active in student government and service, most notably serving as president of UPenn’s Graduate and Professional Student Assembly (GAPSA). Joe is fascinated by the philosophy and practice of good leadership, teaching, and mentorship – his dedication to these endeavors earning him the Penn Prize for Excellence in Teaching by Graduate Students, Penn Engineering Dean’s Outstanding Service Award, and the Provost’s Award for Positive Impact on Student Life.
Joe brings abundant experience in mentoring and assisting both students with applications, which have resulted in acceptances to top-ranked programs. At InGenius Prep, he supports his students through the admissions prep process with enthusiasm and an individualized approach. He enjoys editing application essays and pushing his students to tell their stories for convincing applications.
