Hello! I’m a Graduate Coach specialized in Communications and Economics with InGenius Prep. I’m based in Paris, France, where I’m currently pursuing my Ph.D. dissertation at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism.
I grew up in many places across Africa, Europe and North America, so I’m fortunate to speak English, French, Italian and Spanish fluently. I pursued my undergraduate degree at McGill University, where I majored in Economics and International Development. Upon graduation, I joined McGill University’s Enrolment Services, a system dedicated in part to advising prospective students on the application process. There, I worked in collaboration with the Admissions Office to review applications, help streamline the admissions process and provide feedback for candidates. Contributing to building the future of my alma mater was a fulfilling experience, and it gave me a great understanding of what constitutes a successful application in a top university.
After McGill, I continued my higher education. I completed my Master in International Development at Sciences Po Paris’ School of International Affairs, where I worked on various economics- and communications-related projects ranging from conducting semi-structured interviews with HIV-positive patients in Liberia to working on developing a new index from OECD statistics. I worked on macroeconomic policy issues and used my quantitative background to explore facets of economic development policy.
My doctoral dissertation combines my expertise in economics and communications, where I’m leading quantitative evidence-based projects on health communication topics. My dissertation uses behavioral science techniques, such as deploying randomized experiments, to determine the influence of TikTok in addressing HIV-related stigma in South African young adults.
