Ryan Sutherland is a Former Admissions Officer with InGenius Prep. Ryan, a Fulbright Scholar and published author, began his journey in higher education at Emory University, where he received a BS in Biology and a BA in Music Performance. Following his undergraduate degrees, Ryan earned his Master’s of Public Health in Social and Behavioral Sciences with a concentration in Global Health from Yale University. He then went on to earn an MPhil in Development Studies from the University of Cambridge. Ryan is now an MD candidate at the Yale University School of Medicine, where he also serves as a researcher.
In his educational career, Ryan has been the recipient of several prestigious awards and scholarships, including Fulbright, the Dean’s Prize for Outstanding Thesis at Yale, and more. In addition, Ryan is a former Graduate Writing Tutor at Yale’s prestigious Poorvu Center for Teaching and Learning and has spent years working for a variety of international college admissions consulting firms that maximize applicants’ chances of gaining admission to their top-choice schools or fellowship programs.
Ryan is very familiar with the ins and outs of the medical school admissions process, and as a seasoned college admissions consultant, application editor, and former interviewer for admissions, he has helped students gain admission to top-tier universities like Yale, Columbia, MIT, Princeton, Brown, and more. With a strong track record of providing writing and editing support to students of all ages and at all stages of the application process, he is highly skilled at tailoring student sessions to meet their unique and evolving needs.
