My name is Salima Etoka, and I’m a Graduate Coach with InGenius Prep. I recently graduated from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government (HKS) with a Master’s in Public Policy (MPP). Prior to HKS, I worked in New York City municipal government and nonprofit organizations on a broad range of issues ranging from access to social services to protecting affordable homeownership. I graduated summa cum laude from Trinity College with majors in Urban Studies, French, and Political Science. While at Trinity, I received the Harry S. Truman Scholarship, which is a prestigious national public service scholarship.
During my undergraduate and graduate programs, I’ve had opportunities to mentor students. I’ve guided them on the application process, internship and fellowship opportunities, being successful as a student, and post-graduate life. I enjoy working with students to demystify the admissions process so that they can identify and attend programs that suit their professional and personal goals.
In my free time, I love watching TV, reading, standup comedy, and spending time with family and friends!
