Sophia Jung is a Graduate Coach with InGenius Prep. As an accomplished professional in education, teaching, and policy, Sophia brings a wealth of experience working with students and counseling them toward their best avenue for success.
In her professional experience, Sophia has worked as an elementary school English teacher in Japan. Previously, she was a Contracts Manager and Legal Assistant at Amazon’s Legal department, assisting AWS’s database and analytics engineering teams on various legal issues, leading various confidential projects, and drafting/negotiating software contracts. Her experience has given her analytical insight and a proactive approach to her counseling efforts, where she now uses her expertise to guide students through their careers and seek academic excellence.
Sophia has always been passionate about teaching. For over ten years, she has tutored students of all grades on various subjects, including counseling high school students on college admissions. She believes her flexibility, long-term mindset, and detail-oriented yet easygoing personality reduce the anxiety students experience during the process and help them feel confident about their applications. Her mentees have gone on to be accepted to prestigious universities and graduate programs across the globe.
