Valerie Gutmann is a Graduate Coach with InGenius Prep based in Vermont. Valerie earned her JD from Harvard Law School, during which time she interned for the United States Securities and Exchange Commission, worked as a summer associate at Jenner & Block, and served as co-editor-in-chief of the Harvard Negotiation Law Review. Valerie also has experience clerking for a Chief Judge for the District of Vermont.
Before graduating from Harvard, Valerie received her undergraduate degree in sociology from the University of Chicago. After graduating from UChicago, she was awarded the Marshall Scholarship, which enabled her to attend both the University of Cambridge, earning a master’s degree in sociology, and the University of Oxford, graduating with a master’s in social policy.
Valerie has worked in admissions consulting and essay editing for the past seven years, helping students from all over the world successfully apply to both undergrad and law school. Valerie enjoys helping students tell the story of who they are and what they hope to accomplish. At InGenius Prep, she focuses on providing her students organized support, comprehensive feedback, and positive mentorship.
