Zahra Nasir is a Graduate Coach with InGenius Prep. She has a strong background in environmental policy and history. She recently graduated from Yale University with a double major in Ethics, Politics, and Economics (EP&E) and History. Her academic work centers on environmental policy and history, exploring how environmental challenges intersect with governance, economic development, and social equity, particularly in the context of the Global South and in postcolonial state formation. Zahra’s research interests also include climate resilience, sustainable development, and the historical roots of global inequality, which she has examined through both historical analysis and contemporary policy work.
In addition to her academic studies, Zahra has engaged in extensive research and consulting work. As a research intern with the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government, she contributed to policy analysis on sustainability, economic diversification, and the Sustainable Development Goals in the MENA region. She has also worked with the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) for the Middle East, helping to prepare regional SDG reports.
Beyond her research, Zahra has a deep commitment to education equity and nonprofit work. She has served with One World: From Science to Service, a nonprofit focused on increasing STEAM education access in under-resourced communities globally. She has also held leadership roles with the South Asian Youth Initiative (SAYI) and worked with Product of Culture to foster dialogue and collaboration on pressing issues in the South Asian diaspora. Zahra’s passion for educational access and mentorship is what ultimately drew her to InGenius Prep.
As a Graduate Coach, Zahra combines her academic, research, and nonprofit experience to guide students as they navigate the complex college admissions process. She understands how personalized mentorship can open doors and empower students to pursue their passions fully.
