Hello! I am a Former Admissions Officer with InGenius Prep, based in San Jose, California where I am serving in a Medical Director role at a health tech firm.
I grew up in Houston, Texas and received my undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University. During my time in college, I worked in the Undergraduate Honors department as part of a selection committee for incoming Honors students. After graduation and entering into medical school, I served on the Baylor College of Medicine Admission Committee for all 4 years during medical school. I spent the latter 2 years as the student co-chair of the admissions committee. My heavy involvement with admissions has given me an interesting and gratifying experience in being able to shape future classes of aspiring physicians. Also during this time, I spent time mentoring undergraduate students back at my alma mater (Texas A&M) in building their portfolios for successful medical careers.
Most recently, in my residency program at the Cleveland Clinic, I served as part of the selection committee for ranking future prospects for our program. I have been able to continue my interaction with the younger generation and helping shape their success in medicine in every step of my own medical career. I have learned a great deal about the most important factors for being successful at each stage of the medical career ladder and enjoy passing on and sharing my mentorship to future medical students/professionals.
Outside of work, I am an avid basketball player, piano player, and binge watcher of Netflix shows. I am excited to work together as part of InGenius prep to helping everyone achieve their goals in medicine!
