Hi! I’m a Career Counselor at InGenius Prep. I have a Finance bachelors from Rutgers University and got my start in a boutique consulting firm on Wall Street. My favorite part of this role was working with so many different FinTech and Alt Data Providers, I was fascinated with the clever and creative ways these companies automated systems for capital markets buy-side firms. I decided I wanted to learn how to automate things myself. I soon became a beginner Data Engineer at Barclays Bank where I focused on ETLing clickstream data from the cards platform using Javascript.
Now I’m a Data Engineer working for the Weather Company, an IBM Business focused on building AWS cloud big data jobs (500k+/s requests) in Python, Java and Scala. I’m ETLing the data that trains ML models that drive content creation and recommendation to 200m+ users. Getting a great role early in your career is not difficult and I can help you stop making some of the common mistakes early professionals make when applying. targeting the right companies, having a great resumé and really pitching yourself in the interview are some of the things I can teach you.
