Arthur Makaryan is a Graduate Coach with InGenius Prep, based in New York. As a professional in screenwriting and creative production, Arthur brings a wealth of experience to his counseling role. He holds MA degrees in Directing from Columbia University and Sorbonne and was a Juilliard Directing Fellow in 2017-18. Arthur’s credits include directing and producing acclaimed productions like “Hamlet Machine” and “Black Garden,” which have toured across the U.S., Europe, and beyond. Now, Arthur brings his creative knowledge and admissions history to his role, guiding students through the college admissions process.
As an adjunct professor in Performing Arts at the N.Y. Arts Program, Arthur has led masterclasses in acting, directing, and scriptwriting and expanded to teach in colleges across the U.S. His teaching philosophy emphasizes collaboration, cultural awareness, and innovation, enabling students to develop their creative voices while gaining valuable academic and professional skills. Arthur has trained at prestigious institutions like Grotowski Institute, Suzuki Company, and Odin Teatret, and he uses this experience to help his students navigate complex challenges in their personal and academic growth.

During his one-on-one meetings, Arthur identifies his students’ needs and works to set them on the correct course for academic and personal success.
