Over the past 10+ years, I have served a private tutor, group instructor, and counselor to 100+ students from around the world, with particular expertise in working with language learners and standardized test preparation. I have also had the privilege of helping students build and develop their leadership skills at Harvard, as well as bolster their applications to Ivy League universities as an instructor and counselor.
I graduated from Harvard as the 1st-ranked student in East Asian Studies and was awarded the John Harvard Scholarship for finishing in the Top 5% of my class. I’m a devoted linguist, and thus far I have studied French, Mandarin, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Icelandic, Dutch, Italian, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Afrikaans, Japanese, Swedish, Thai, Cantonese, and Esperanto to varying degrees. As a Program Manager at Microsoft, I manage a team that uses data to solve multilingual, multinational puzzles.
Outside of work, I’m a devoted adventurer: I’ve lived in the US, France, Germany, China, Taiwan, Brazil, South Africa, Vietnam, Thailand and the UK, and I’ve visited approximately 75 other countries. When I’m not exploring, I love electronic music, film, and spending time with my wonderful family.
