Hi! I am a Graduate Coach and Career Counselor with InGenius Prep, based in Los Angeles, California where I am working as a Product Manager.
I grew up in Los Angeles and received my degree in Applied Mathematics. As a kid my parents always encouraged me to go into finance, but after working at multiple different opportunities in the field, I found I did not enjoy it. Luckily, I started my own EdTech startup in college, and although that had a mini-rise and maximum downfall, it helped me find my passion for technology and realize its ability to drive impact at scale.
Since then I have spent 4+ years working in Product Management for IBM and Amazon where I currently work. I have taken ideas from the back of a napkin and turned them into products people use globally. I love finding the intersection of things people need, business, and technology to find what can drive value, then working with engineers, designers, and data teams to build it.
In the last few years, I’ve advised dozens of students from diverse upbringings, fields of study, and careers on how to break into Product Management as it grows into a more popular discipline. I love helping students find their strengths, craft the story of their journey, and strategize on how to use that as a plan to succeed in the application process.
Outside of work, I spend my time in the outdoors, watching basketball (go Lakers!), and trying new foods!
