Jason Lazarcheck is a Graduate Coach with InGenius Prep with a background in English and creative writing. He graduated cum laude from Harvard University with a degree in English, where he also earned a minor in playwriting and a Spanish language citation. During his time at Harvard, Jason was awarded the McCord Prize for creativity and contributions to the Arts and was involved in theater production and direction.
Professionally, Jason has experience as an Education Counselor and tutor, specializing in college essays, personal statements, and application preparation. He focuses on helping students develop essay ideas through mock alumni interviews and emphasizes personal experience, growth, and point of view in their writing. Additionally, he provides writing instruction for academic coursework, essay competitions, and creative writing. Jason also works as a tutor for Sylvan Learning, where he specializes in English Language Arts and writing support for middle school students.
In addition to his work as an educator, Jason is a writer with experience in Hollywood and audio drama. He has written TV dramas for Marvel and Fox’s “The Gifted,” developed a true crime series for AppleTV+ and Robert Downey Jr., and has worked on an HBO film and a Lifetime show. He has also worked as a Senior Writer for Pocket FM, adapting and writing audio dramas, and as a freelance writer for Soundtracks, Scores, & More, profiling film and TV composers.
Jason also has experience adapting books to screenplays and copywriting. As a Graduate Coach, Jason combines his expertise in writing and education to guide students through the college application process and develop their creative writing skills.
