Sarah Hernandez is a Graduate Coach at InGenius Prep based in Austin, TX. Sarah received her Master’s in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology and her BS in Mechanical Engineering from Rice University.
In college, Sarah served as founding member and President of Rice’s Rocket Club, where students designed, built, and launched hybrid rockets. She was also a Lab Assistant at the Oshman Engineering Design Kitchen, utilizing printing and machining to bring engineering projects to life. She also designed and built the sets for several theater productions on campus, and twice a semester, she coached engineering students on their presentation skills. After college, Sarah worked at NASA, where she conducted experiments in wind tunnels large and small.
At InGenius Prep, Sarah draws from her extensive experience in STEM to guide her students through the college preparation process. She specializes in assisting STEM students bring out their uniqueness and personality in applications by helping them tangibly explore their interests. A very strong editor, Sarah greatly enjoys reading her students’ application essays and providing helpful feedback.
