Xinyi Xu is a Graduate Coach with InGenius Prep based in New York. As a researcher and professional in education, Xinyi brings an analytical approach and insights into higher education to her role as a Graduate Coach. With a PhD in Economics from the City University of New York, as well as a Master’s in Statistics and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics & Applied Math from Columbia University and Hefei University of Technology, respectively, Xinyi’s teaching roles and research experience prepare her to guide students through the college application process and set them up for success at their dream schools.
Throughout her research experience, Xinyi has conducted analyses in multiple fields, including international macroeconomics, financial economics, and computational finance. She has contributed to advanced studies in AI-integrated financial time series analysis and cointegration dynamics in Asian stock markets. Xinyi has also served in educational roles. She taught as an Adjunct Lecturer at Fordham University and Brooklyn College, and as an Adjunct Associate Faculty member at Columbia University, with other professional experiences including a Tax Consultant at KPMG.
As a Graduate Coach, Xinyi excels in guiding students through the college application process and helping them find optimal career paths. Her diverse background in economics and statistics and her proficiency in Python, R, and MATLAB allow her to provide targeted support and mentorship. Fluent in both English and Chinese, Xinyi excels in coaching students with diverse backgrounds. With her guidance and well-rounded approach to coaching, Xinyi is prepared to help student develop the skills and confidence needed to pursue their aspirations.
