Hello! I am a Graduate Coach with InGenius Prep. As a GC, I especially love the personal statement brainstorming process; it’s so rewarding to see how an essay develops from start to finish!
When I was a student at Stanford, I first developed a love for writing and editing. I majored in History and minored in Creative Writing, and I was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa my senior year. As an undergraduate, I also worked in the university’s writing center as a peer tutor, and I played for Stanford’s varsity women’s lacrosse team.
I received an MFA (Masters of Fine Arts) in Creative Writing at the Ohio State University, where I served as the Managing Editor of The Journal, an award-winning literary magazine. At OSU, I taught undergraduate writing courses including Intermediate Poetry Writing, Introductory Poetry Writing, Literary Publishing, and First-Year Writing and Rhetoric. My poetry has been published or is forthcoming in literary magazines including Gulf Coast, Ninth Letter, Mississippi Review, and elsewhere. As an artist and teacher, I’m particularly interested in written and interdisciplinary collaboration, and I have led classroom collaborative projects on zine creation. I’m also the co-author of a collaborative poetry chapbook, Metal House of Cards, from Finishing Line Press.
