Alisa (Xiangying) Guo is a Graduate Coach with InGenius Prep who brings extensive experience in international education and language instruction. She graduated from the University of Nottingham with a B.A. in International Relations and a minor in Japanese, and later earned her Master’s degree in Asian Studies from the University of British Columbia (UBC). During her graduate studies, she gained experience as a teaching assistant, contributing to language course design. She also holds a TCSL certificate.
With over 5 years of teaching and tutoring experience, Alisa has guided university students in academic writing and supported middle and high school students in English and Mathematics. She has a deep understanding of students’ learning habits and psychological characteristics across different developmental stages.
As a Graduate Coach, she works with middle and high school students and their families from the U.S., Canada, and globally, assisting with academic planning, study skill development, interest exploration, and school application strategies. She is familiar with various international curricula, including IB, AP, and the BC Curriculum, and excels at communicating with diverse cultural backgrounds. Alisa believes in the power of patience, encouragement, and individualized guidance to accompany students on their journey of growth.
