Alexandra Dakin is a Graduate Coach with InGenius prep and completed her MEng in Mechanical Engineering at Imperial College London, UK. Her research projects focused on sustainability and robotics, sponsored by global engineering companies. At university, she held a position on the Women in STEM committee, working to create equal opportunities for men and women in STEM.
Alexandra has applied her degree in the workplace as a Fire Engineer for the global engineering firm Arup. Alongside her work, she has dedicated time to supporting university interns in their career development. She also serves as a Mental Health Ambassador. Throughout her higher education and early career, Alexandra has taken on leadership roles, developing a clear understanding of the diverse needs and expectations of incoming undergraduate and graduate students.
Her experiences have helped her become an active listener, enabling her to fully understand and support students’ needs as they progress in their academic and professional journeys. Alexandra has advised dozens of students from diverse backgrounds as they navigated the university admissions process. This experience has given her a flexible and creative mindset, allowing her to develop tailored approaches that align with her students’ needs and goals.
